Pediatric Behavioral health Platform Butterfly Learnings Raises USD 1.5m
Butterfly Learnings, a full stack phygital (physical + digital) pediatric developmental and behavior health platform, has raised USD 1.5m in its seed funding round. With one in six children between the ages of two and nine years affected by at least one type of neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD), Butterfly Learnings is addressing the huge unmet need in India for behavioral health solutions for children.
Founded in 2021 by Dr. Sonam Kothari, a pediatric neurologist and Dr. Abhishek Sen, a seasoned MedTech entrepreneur, Butterfly Learnings is solving challenges across the full spectrum of developmental issues and behavioral health in children through evidence-based practices. The techniques the platform uses are Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy via an integrated in-person and digital platform.
Butterfly Learnings will use the funds to build and scale its digital product as well as expand its physical footprint across India. Investors in the round included Insitor, 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, Fondation Botnar, UTIL Stiftung, and CIIE.CO.
SAGANA is pleased to have supported both Fondation Botnar and UTIL Stiftung in their investment in Butterfly Learnings, which aligns with their investment mandates to support the health and wellbeing of young adults, and to create opportunities for young adults respectively.
We believe that the combination of Butterfly Learning’s seasoned team and [innovative] technology platform will enable it to make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of children in India. We’re excited to work alongside the company through its next stage of growth.
